Step by step method to fix such issue on your PC.
Step 1: Open your video player, using VLC player for this purpose.
Launch the vlc player is seen from the below image.
Step 2: Look through the Tabs and click 'Tools'
Under the tool, there will be a pop-up list of options to choose from.
Look through and select ' Preferences'
As seen in the image below;
Step 3: Click on input/codecs settings option as shown below;
After clicking on Input/Codecs settings, under <Hardware accelerated decoding> click on the drop down to show a pop up with a list of options to choose from then Select <Disable>
Step 5: Now save the settings
In conclusion, after all setting restart the VLC player and try to play those files again.
