Clear cache memory data of every application to start using it again as a newly installed application.
Memory keeps us in a loop to remind us of anything we have planned, done or yet to do. The phone memory works in the same direction.
Phone Memory
Our phones have a memory component in them, which does the work of
information storage be it temporary or permanent. This memory
comes in two (2) types, we have the ROM-read only memory and the
RAM-Random access memory. ROM comes as an inbuilt non-volatile memory
component which does the permanent storage of information to keep the
device running. Also, RAM is a volatile memory component. This type of
memory stores data temporarily since it depends on an electric current
to save data.
Data cache
For a phone to easily access a website, an app, an image, script and
any other file, the cache memory stores a copy of the data opened or
visited for the first time on the device. This makes it easily
accessible to the user anytime he/she needs that information from the
website or app, reducing load time.
Clean
Why is it necessary to clean cached data? The reason is, these data are useful within a brief period, and they are temporary data which might make your phone run slow overtime as the data becomes huge. Cleaning cache data does not affect login details, customized settings or downloaded files.
Below points could be some of the reasons we clean cache memory.
-
Erasing your cache data would help your phone run faster since the temporary files have been deleted. This implies to the app, the website, or the usual files you access or visit, all will be optimized for better performance.
-
. . We clean cached data to be able to access updated information from our visited sites and apps. Your website will continue to provide old information even if there are updates when your cache data is uncleared.
Below are the steps to follow to clear your cache memory on your
phone.
- STEP ONE (1): GOTO YOUR PHONE SETTINGS
2. STEP TWO (2): CLICK ON APPS & NOTIFICATIONS
As circled in the image above.
3. STEP THREE (3): SELECT THE APP
You then select the application whose cache data you want to clean. In this case, i selected Calculator.
4. STEP FOUR (4): CLICK ON THE CLEAR CACHE
5. STEP FIVE (5): ALL DONE
Now you can revisit the app to check.
